Awesome thread idea, cloudy. I love equestrian TV shows and movies. I have plenty to share but a recent movie I found that I love is called "Sport De Filles" or "Of Women and Horses". It stars an accomplished equestrian Marina Hands as a stern dressage rider. Plenty of boot action including a scene where she gets new riding boots.

I watched a film on Amazon the other day called Dark Horse (2008) Its a low budget poorly acted family drama that doesn't really feature much horses or riding.
There is a beautiful Friesian and the grandmother wears her leather dress boots and breeches all the time. The main protagonist only wears leather boots at the end in a competition and falls off and has to get them cut off then swaps boots with her mother as hers have zips
I fairly shit film

The Larkins was really good for equestrian content as well, Sabrina Bartlett looks fantastic on a horse. I just wish she had more form fitting breeches

yes I watched the Larkins and thought it was pretty crap
Sabrina is not a patch on Catherine - also they didn't have those boots and breeches in the 1950's - I'm guessing they also didn't have a large contingent of ethnic people living in a small village in Kent - but diversity and box ticking over accuracy is the thing of the day.

I could be wrong but..... The book is in English, the car number plates look British, the signs are also in English and the coastline doesn't look like its in Germany either

Quinty Trusftull is a Dutch TV presenter who also has a habit of mounting up often during her shows:
my favorite clip is when she dons a new pair of breeches and boots and rides with Anky Van Grunsven on 'Ik kom bij je eten'. Like most of her clips good quality was lost to time but there exists a youtube version

I just watched classic Dr Who and noticed that the best looking assistant Mary Tamm (Romana) is wearing rubber riding boots in the Story "the power of Kroll"
They are doing a lot of running around wetlands and her boots are muddy
Its a shame she didn't stay for longer and was replaced by Lala Ward
Not sure why it is always the guys in classic Dr who wearing riding boots - they are ubiquitous in most stories and usually sprayed or with bits added.
